John MATTHEWMAN, the father of Homer Matthewman who is the
husband of Mrs. Pauline GINN Matthewman died in Culver hospital
Sunday morning following an operation for intenstinal trouble.
His home was at New Market, but he was born near Waveland Spet 3,
1869. He is survived by four sons, Royal at home; Virgil of
Lafayette; Harold of San Pedro, Calif and Homer of Waveland and
by the widow who was Miss Ella VanCleave. Funeral services at the
New Market Baptist Church on Tuesday were in charge of Rev.
Cornelius Airhart. Burial in Freedom Cemetery. He was a member of
the Freedom Church.
